The NW CT Economic Development Corporation CEDS (Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy) Focus Groups met on Wednesday, March 7th at the Litchfield Inn. </div> <bR> <div> The NW CT Economic Development Corporation (NW CT EDC), Litchfield Hills Council of Elected Officials (LHCEO), NW CT Council of Governments (NWCCOG) and NW CT Chamber of Commerce are working together to create a new 'Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy' (CEDS) for the 20 municipalities served by the LHCEO and NWCCOG. A 'Planning Grant' has been received from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA - U.S. Dept. of Commerce) to support these efforts. <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><A HREF="id113.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="CEDS Requirements">CEDS Information </A></FONT></div> <bR> <div> A CEDS (Strategy/Planning) Committee and CEDS Steering Committee have been established to facilitate this process.
